Operating Room RN — San Luis Obispo, CA

Contract: 13 Weeks | Start Date: October 26, 2026

Shift: Day/Evening | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–8:30 PM (rotating start times)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

The facility's surgical department is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to assist surgeons and anesthesiologists while coordinating the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff throughout surgical procedures. The role emphasizes patient safety across all perioperative phases, with strong clinical scope in orthopedic, neurological, and trauma cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate in the OR and consistently apply aseptic technique principles
• Prepare patients for surgery, including safe anatomical positioning
• Perform pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials
• Manage tissue/allograft documentation per established protocols

Schedule & Call:

• Day/Evening shifts, Monday–Friday
• On-call: minimum 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule block; additional call based on unit need

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience; Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience required
• Current California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• CNOR preferred
