Med Surg Tele

Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Maryville, TN

This 13-week night shift contract places you on an adult Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for general medical, pre- and post-operative, and post-cardiac catheterization patients. The unit serves adult and geriatric populations and is supported by an interdisciplinary team including IV therapy, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, and social services.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour nights | 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend (subject to change based on need)
• Float to clinically similar units required as needed

Clinical Skills & Procedures

• Post heart catheterization care
• Bedside procedures: dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, incision & drainage
• Central line and PICC line management
• Blood product administration, heparin protocols
• Cardiac drip management (no titration)
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Pre/post hemodialysis management, CBI, wound care/wound vac
• PCA, port access, feeding tube care

Requirements

• Active RN Tennessee license
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of electronic health record experience required
• First-time travelers considered based on clinical experience

• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable
