Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Night Shift | Maryville, TN
This inpatient unit specializes in stroke and TIA care while also managing higher-acuity medical-surgical patients. The clinical team is deeply committed to patient experience and provides a broad range of care across adult and geriatric populations.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 3×12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Float to other units based on census and verified competencies
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Orientation: 24 hours (Mondays)
Patient Population & Diagnoses
Stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, ia, chest pain, dialysis, acute kidney failure, post-heart catheterization, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis
Special Procedures
Peritoneal dialysis, continuous bladder irrigation, BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, chest tube care, wound care/wound vac, and telemetry monitoring
Required Certifications & Licensure
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS — all required
- Active Tennessee RN license required
- Previous charge experience required
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; no first-time travelers
- Minimum 1 year of electronic medical records experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials (up to 16 hours billable)
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
