Registered Nurse – Comprehensive Medical Unit | Zanesville, OH

Days | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN position is based on a Comprehensive Medical Unit with occasional floating to other Med-Surg areas, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder units. The role offers consistent day-shift scheduling with no on-call requirement.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirement
• 13-week contract
• Available start dates: November 4 or November 16

Clinical Scope

Nurses will manage a general medical patient population with telemetry monitoring needs. Float assignments span multiple specialty units across Med-Surg, requiring clinical flexibility and comfort with varying patient acuity levels.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of current, recent Telemetry and/or Step-Down experience
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips — competency will be assessed on the first day; failure to demonstrate this skill will result in contract termination
• Active BLS certification required
• Demonstrated EMR proficiency is mandatory and must be documented at submission; no refresher courses or one-on-one orientation will be provided

Additional Notes

• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours over the 13-week contract period
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
• Only one submission per traveler per specialty is accepted
