Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN to join its Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit on the night shift. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Educate patients and families on their condition, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge coordination
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are consistently followed
• Manage a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of Med-Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
• Telemetry / EKG interpretation competency required
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 16, 2026
