About the Role

This travel RT position is based in a short-term acute care setting serving a primarily adult patient population with COPD, ia, and related respiratory conditions. The unit operates on a single floor with a small ICU component. You'll also support a busy outpatient surgery department and an active emergency department throughout the week.

Schedule Details

• Three night shifts per week
• Every third weekend required (day shift)
• Must be available to cover night shifts when colleagues request time off
• RTO must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the next schedule and requires manager approval

Clinical Scope

Candidates should be comfortable with mechanical ventilation (including weaning and troubleshooting), BiPAP/CPAP, intubation assist, extubation, tracheostomy care, ABG drawing and interpretation, aerosol and inhaled medication delivery, chest physiotherapy, and patient transport.

Requirements

• RRT or CRT credential (West Virginia license required; pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 1 year of experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all via American Heart Association)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions with physician documentation accepted October 1–March 31)
• Fit test must be completed prior to start date
• Floating within scope and to sister facilities may be required
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility (75–100 miles considered case-by-case)
