Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) — Night Shift
Location: Charleston, WV
Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract: 13 weeks
Start: Orientations held every other Monday
Guaranteed Hours: 72–80 per pay period
About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic critical care and general care team serving neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. You'll manage a wide range of respiratory cases in a teaching hospital environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct respiratory care across critical care, general care, and pediatric units
- Perform mechanical ventilation management, including setup, weaning, and troubleshooting
- Conduct airway management, intubation assistance, and tracheostomy care
- Manage high-flow oxygen therapies, CPAP/BiPAP, and specialty equipment
- Draw and interpret arterial blood gases
- Float within scope to other units as needed
Requirements
- License: RRT or CRT (pending state license accepted)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in critical care and pediatric/NICU care preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS (American Heart Association)
- Schedule Flexibility: Weekdays, some weekends, and floating required
- Relocation: Permanent address within 100 miles of facility (75–100 miles considered case-by-case)
- References: Two manager or charge nurse references within past 2 years
