ICU Registered Nurse — Travel Contract | Kingwood, WV

Shift: Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Schedule: Weekdays plus every other weekend

Contract Length: 13 weeks | Start Date: ASAP

About the Unit

This ICU position serves adult and geriatric patients requiring high-acuity critical care. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including Respiratory Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, and Social Services.

Clinical Skills & Scope

Candidates should be comfortable managing a complex critical care patient population. Key skills include:

• Ventilator management and BiPAP/CPAP
• Arterial line and central line care/management
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip titration
• Continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• CVA/acute stroke management
• IV insulin protocols and management of dysrhythmias
• Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• ABG interpretation and 12-lead EKG acquisition

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (ICU)
• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending accepted)
• Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Preferred Certification: CCRN
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility
• Previous charge experience preferred

• Scrub color: Wine and/or burgundy (not provided)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID vaccine not required
• Orientation: 12 hours, held every other Monday
