Cath Lab RN – Day Shift
The Opportunity
The facility is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to join its interventional cardiology team. You'll work day shifts (06:30–17:00) in a fast-paced environment managing 8–10 diagnostic and interventional cases daily, including structural procedures.
What You'll Do
- Serve as circulator in the lab, managing moderate sedation and patient assessment
- Administer medications and provide pre- and post-operative care
- Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Respond to on-call needs as scheduled
Schedule & Call Requirements
- 4×10-hour day shifts (36 guaranteed hours weekly)
- On-call: 2–3 weekday nights per month (7 PM–6:30 AM, second call)
- Weekend call: approximately every 4–5 weeks (Friday 7 PM–Monday 6:30 AM)
- Call rotation: first and second call alternate every 12 hours
- Weekend coverage handled by 10-person team rotation
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- 1 year Cath Lab experience (diagnostic, intervention, and structural procedures)
- BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
- West Virginia RN license or compact license required; pending license accepted for application
- Active WV license must be in hand at start date
- 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
- Charge experience preferred
Additional Details
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Orientation: 16 hours (held every other Thursday)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Permanent address requirement: 100 miles from facility (75–99 miles considered case-by-case)
- Full file submission due by noon Monday prior to start date
