ICU Registered Nurse — Travel Contract

Newark, NY | Nights | 13-Week Contract

This opportunity is in an adult intensive care unit managing a focused patient census with strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and social services.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3×12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: December 2026
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Pre-approved time off: Up to two requests considered

Requirements

• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Charge experience highly preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Electronic charting proficiency required (community hospital experience a plus)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Clinical Skills Required

• Arterial line and central line management
• PICC line care
• Continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade
• Titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
• IV insulin protocol management
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• 12-lead ECG acquisition
• Thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia protocols)
• Phlebotomy and IV insertion
• Infection prevention and isolation precautions

First-time travelers may be considered for candidates who otherwise meet all clinical requirements.
