Emergency Room RN – Adult ED | Rochester, NY | 13-Week Contract

This busy adult emergency department manages the full spectrum of emergency diagnoses across adult and geriatric populations. The unit is supported by a dedicated pediatric ED, a crisis intervention area, and interdisciplinary teams including rapid response, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social work.

Shift Details

• 4x12-hour day shifts; available start times of 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required, as needed
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Active New York Single State RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; NY is not a Compact state)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS must be included with submittal)
• PALS and TNCC preferred

Required Clinical Skills

• IV therapy: blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs
• IV vasopressors; BiPAP/CPAP management; ventilator care
• CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, TBI, and spinal cord injury management
• Cardiac monitoring: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• ; isolation precautions; procedural sedation monitoring
• Emergency presentations including ortho trauma, gunshot wounds, overdose, and acute psychiatric/behavioral emergencies

Unit Details

• Floating required within skillset
• Scrub color: navy blue and white combination
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; first-time travelers considered

Additional Notes

• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
• No more than 10 days of pre-approved RTO per contract
• Start date: October 27, 2026
