Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Adult) | Rochester, NY

13-Week Contract | Days & Nights Available | 3x12-Hour Shifts

This busy adult emergency department manages a broad spectrum of high-acuity presentations across adult and geriatric populations. The unit includes a dedicated pediatric ED and trauma suite, with strong interdisciplinary support from respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response, and social services teams.

Shift Details

• Day: 07:00–19:00 | Night: 19:00–07:00 (rotating)
• 13-week contract | Estimated start: October 2026
• Every other weekend required; every other holiday required

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Active New York single-state RN license (NY is not compact; no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (must be submitted with application)
• PALS and TNCC preferred

Clinical Skills Required

• IV vasopressors, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy
• Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP
• CVA/stroke care, neuro-trauma, TBI, spinal cord injury
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG acquisition
• , isolation precautions, procedural sedation monitoring
• Experience with psychiatric patients, drug overdose, ortho trauma, and gunshot wounds

Unit Details

• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics; all emergency diagnoses

• Floating within skillset required
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy blue and white

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ER experience
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
• No more than 10 days of pre-approved time off
