Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Santa Rosa, CA | Nights | 26-Week Contract

This acute care facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night-shift travel assignment. The ED serves a diverse patient population spanning infants through geriatrics, managing approximately 120 visits per day across a combined adult/pediatric environment.

Shift & Schedule

  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
  • Start date: ASAP (November 2026)
  • Weekend coverage required as needed
  • Must commit to 3 of 5 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Clinical Scope

  • General medical, cardiac, stroke, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma presentations
  • , dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV placement and maintenance, isolation precautions/PPE
  • Robust interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and interpretation services

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
  • TNCC (preferred in hand; candidates willing to obtain prior to start may be considered at manager discretion)
  • Active California RN license required (pending license accepted)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of ED experience required
  • Prior trauma experience strongly preferred
  • First-time travelers with qualifying ED experience will be considered
  • Dress code: Scrubs or business casual

Additional Details

  • 40-hour orientation
  • Travelers may be required to float to nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may affect assignment and guaranteed hours
  • RTO limited to 7 days; all requests must be submitted upfront
  • 2 professional references required, covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
