Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Santa Rosa, CA | 13-Week Contract
This travel opportunity places an experienced ED RN in a fast-paced acute care emergency department serving a diverse patient population spanning infants through geriatrics. The unit manages approximately 120 visits daily, covering general medical, cardiac, stroke, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma cases.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
- Weekends: as needed
- Holiday commitment: must be available for 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Float to nearby sister facilities may be required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience (hospital-based; required)
- Active California RN license (pending license accepted)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (preferred in hand; candidates willing to obtain prior to start may be considered)
- Level II trauma experience required
- First-time travelers accepted with qualifying ED background
Clinical Skills

- IV insertion and maintenance

- Combined adult and pediatric emergency care
Additional Details
- Scrub color: scrubs or business casual
- Orientation: 40 hours
- RTO: up to 7 days (must be declared upfront at submission)
- Interdisciplinary support includes rapid response, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and interpretation services
- 2 professional references required (covering 1 year within the last 3 years)
