CT Technologist — Emergency Department Nights

Charlotte, NC | 16-Week Contract

This fast-paced emergency department CT position is ideal for an experienced tech comfortable working independently in a high-volume imaging environment. The unit operates around the clock serving a broad patient population spanning infants through geriatrics, including routine ED cases, Code Stroke activations, and trauma patients.

Schedule

• 3x12-hour nights: 18:45–07:15
• Weekend schedule: Thursday, Friday & Saturday
• No call requirement | No float requirement
• No RTO after contract signing; candidates must be fully available during orientation week

Clinical Scope

• Daily scan volume: 150–200 studies across 4 rooms
• Typical per-tech caseload: 15–20 patients per 12-hour shift
• Procedures include: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, multiplanar reconstruction, coronary CTA, and vascular studies

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience in a high-volume acute care setting
• ARRT(R)(CT) and BLS required
• scanner proficiency is mandatory — candidates without will not be considered
• GE scanner experience also required
• Experience in inpatient, ED, and adult ICU CT settings

Preferred Skills

• IV starts and contrast administration
• PACS proficiency
• Outpatient CT experience

Additional Details

• Scrubs: Royal Blue (not provided)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• NC or compact license accepted; pending licensure eligible for submission
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no holiday RTO approved
