Cardiac Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Telemetry RN for a fast-paced telemetry unit serving adult patients with complex cardiac conditions. This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights: 18:45 – 07:15
- Weekend shifts required: 5–6 over a 6-week scheduling period
- Float required as needed within the facility
- 24-hour orientation
Required Qualifications
- RN license (NC or Compact; pending OK at submission)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years cardiac telemetry, PCU, IMC, or stepdown experience
- Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG skills (EKG testing required before start)
- First-time travelers welcome
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and pre/post-cardiac catheterization. Responsibilities include:
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration)
- Sheath pulls and TR band/femstop management
- Central line and peripheral line care
- Blood product administration
Unit Details
This is a high-acuity, collaborative environment with 24-hour support from interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, and cardiology services.

- Strong attendance adherence required
- Must be willing to join Storm/Hurricane Teams during critical events
- Professionalism and teamwork are essential expectations
