Respiratory Therapist – NICU

Position Overview

Join the NICU team as a Respiratory Therapist providing comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients. You'll work day shifts in a supportive environment with a dedicated team of respiratory therapists.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• 3 shifts per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday shifts)
• Holidays as scheduled
• Preference scheduling available
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No float or on-call requirements

Clinical Scope

You'll manage all aspects of respiratory care including:

• Mechanical ventilation (Hamilton and Servo ventilators)
• High-flow oxygen therapy
• Aerosol and nebulized medications
• Cough assist, IPV, and NAVA therapies
• Airway management
• Intrahospital transport
• Assist-level intubation support (not independent intubation)

Requirements

• License: RRT preferred; CRT acceptable
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (all AHA)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in PICU and/or Level 4 or greater NICU
• Dress Code: Stone or light gray scrubs

Additional Details

• 13-week contract
• Department-specific orientation provided (length based on prior experience)
• Intensivist coverage in house
• Team of 8 RTs per shift
