NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Level III
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to critically ill and medically complex neonates in a Level III NICU. You will manage super high-acuity patients independently, including infants requiring advanced respiratory support and therapeutic cooling.
Shift & Duration
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates
- Manage infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia/cooling
- Care for high-acuity patients on ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen
- Monitor and manage central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), and other invasive devices
- Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
- Recognize and respond quickly to neonatal deterioration and emergencies
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and closely monitor patient condition changes
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide education and emotional support to families
Experience & Qualifications
- 3–4+ years of strong Level III NICU experience
- Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience required
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Additional certifications may be required by the facility
