Emergency Department RN — Manchester, NH
Contract: 12 weeks | Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Days) | Hours: 36 guaranteed per week
This busy Emergency Department manages a high-acuity, diverse patient population including individuals with complex cardiac conditions, DKA, sepsis, trauma, and stroke. The unit also includes a secure, locked psychiatric holding area for patients awaiting placement.
Typical Procedures Include:
- Trauma and stroke care
- Laceration and orthopedic repair
- Ultrasound-guided IV and IO insertion
- EKG acquisition and interpretation
- Eye exams
- Psychiatric and cardiopulmonary care
Schedule & Expectations:
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No floating required
- Dress code: Scrubs only; no hooded shirts or sweatshirts
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Active RN license (required at time of submission)
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Adaptability and dependability in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation
- MOAB certification
