Radiology Nurse – 13-Week Assignment
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Radiology Nurse to support the radiology department. You'll provide direct patient care and procedural support in a fast-paced clinical environment serving diverse patient populations across all age groups.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 5×8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (subject to adjustment to 12:00 PM–8:30 PM as needed; flexibility required)
- Weekends: 1 per 6 weeks
- Float: Yes, as needed across the department
- On-call: No
- Time off: Maximum 10 days; none within the first 2 weeks. Must work 3 of 5 holidays.
Requirements
- License: Active CA license required at submission; no pending or temporary licenses
- Experience: 1+ year radiology experience required. ICU, ER, or IR experience also accepted if paired with radiology background
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Critical Skills: Strong IV placement skills and previous critical care experience are essential
- Vaccination: Flu vaccine required; no exemptions
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients across all age groups in a radiology support role. Key competencies include IV access, conscious sedation monitoring, port/PICC management, dysrhythmia interpretation, radiation safety, and procedural support (paracentesis/thoracentesis). You'll perform bar-code medication administration and participate in Universal Protocol (time-out) procedures.
