Radiology Nurse – Travel Assignment

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced radiology nurse to support the radiology department. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of patient populations in a dynamic clinical environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5×8 hours)
• Flexibility: Shift may adjust to 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM when operationally needed
• Weekends: 1 every 6 weeks
• Float: Yes, as needed to support departmental needs
• On-Call: No
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (California)
• 1+ year radiology experience (IR, ICU, or ER experience with radiology background also considered)
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
• Strong IV placement skills and prior critical care experience required
• Current flu vaccination (no exemptions)

Key Clinical Skills

• IV starts and maintenance
• PICC line care and management
• Port access and management
• Conscious sedation administration and monitoring
• Dysrhythmia recognition and management
• End-tidal CO₂ monitoring
• Radiation safety protocols
• Bar code medication administration

Patient Population

Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics across varied acuity levels.

What We Need From You

• Supervisor-level references (2, from past 12 months)
• Maximum 10 days RTO, none in first 2 weeks
• Work 3 of 5 holidays
