Travel RN – Long-Term Observation Unit | Zanesville, OH
Day Shift | 13-Week Contract | Start Date: November 16th
This travel RN position is based primarily in a Long-Term Observation unit, with a requirement to float to other Medical-Surgical units including Respiratory, Stroke, and Cardiac floors. Candidates with appropriate ED experience may also float to the emergency department.
Shift Details
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Call is a rare occurrence
Clinical Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of current, recent Telemetry/Med-Surg experience required
- Must be able to independently read Telemetry/cardiac rhythms (BCRA); competency will be assessed on day one
- Strong critical thinking skills appropriate for mixed-acuity observation and med-surg patients
Certifications Required
- Active BLS
- Active ACLS
EMR
- Current proficiency in the facility's EMR system is mandatory and must be documented at time of submission — no refresher courses or on-site orientation for this skill will be provided
Additional Notes
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours over the course of the 13-week contract
- All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of submission; RTO added after confirmation cannot be guaranteed
