Sonographer – Ultrasound
Location: Charleston, SC
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays in rotation
About the Role
The facility's ultrasound department is seeking an experienced sonographer to join a 24/7 team performing diagnostic imaging across multiple specialties. You'll provide general and vascular ultrasounds, as well as specialized procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, and thyroid biopsies.
Requirements
- ARDMS certification required; RVT certification preferred
- General and vascular ultrasound experience required
- Advanced arterial vascular experience essential
- Current state licensure
Schedule Details
- Primary shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekday availability: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (M–T)
- Friday availability: 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM
- Call rotation: Friday and Saturday nights, every 4–5 weeks
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation with hospital staff
Work Environment
All sonographers hold advanced credentials. The department operates 24/7 with approximately 35 patient studies daily. Uniforms are slate gray.
