Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Every other weekend
• Float to all units as needed
• No on-call

About the Role

You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit, assessing and evaluating patient status, planning and implementing evidence-based care, and recognizing acute changes. You'll work alongside LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries, providing direction and support as needed.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Proficiency with cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) and understanding of titration
• Competence in telemetry interpretation and cardiac dysrhythmia recognition
• Strong critical thinking and ability to recognize and intervene on changes in patient status
• Knowledge of stroke signs/symptoms and appropriate interventions
• Excellent communication and professional attendance

Required Credentials

• 2+ years of nursing experience
• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact state)
• Current BLS (AHA)
• Current ACLS (AHA)
• Current NIHSS Certification
• Skills checklist documentation (current to 1 year, Med Surg/Telemetry-focused)
