Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
About the Unit
This Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit manages a mixed patient population with a focus on general medical-surgical care alongside a significant cardiac and telemetry component. Nurses function as the primary coordinator of care across disciplines, collaborating with the full healthcare team to implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, carry out physician and nursing orders, and coordinate discharge planning.
The role demands strong critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Scrubs: Navy or maroon
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Required Licenses & Credentials
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
- License/Certificate Verification at time of submission
- Skills checklist and professional references required for submission
- EKG competency exam required at onboarding
- Core competencies and specialty exam completed upon onboarding
Health Requirements (Onboarding)
- MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap
- TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Fit test, health statement, 11-panel drug screen
- Color vision assessment
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced Med-Surg/Telemetry RN comfortable managing cardiac monitoring and a diverse patient population
- Strong communicator with solid telemetry interpretation skills
- Adaptable and confident working independently on nights
