Licensed Practical Nurse

LPN – Medical Surgical / Observation | Night Shift | Zanesville, OH

This 13-week travel LPN contract is based in Zanesville, OH, with a start date of November 16th. The position offers 36 guaranteed hours per week on a night shift schedule (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), with every third weekend required. There is no on-call requirement.

Unit & Clinical Scope

You'll work primarily on Medical Surgical and Observation units, with occasional floating across related units including Surgical, Respiratory, Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation. LPNs manage a patient load of up to 5 patients under RN oversight. Telemetry reading is required — candidates will be assessed on this skill on day one.

Requirements

• Active Ohio LPN license
• Current BLS certification
• IV certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based experience

• Telemetry competency (assessed on first day; failure to pass will result in termination)

Scheduling Notes

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every third weekend required
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours over the 13-week contract
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; post-confirmation RTO requests cannot be accommodated
