Licensed Practical Nurse

LPN – Medical/Surgical & Observation | Night Shift | Zanesville, OH

This 13-week contract places an LPN primarily on Medical/Surgical and Observation units, with occasional floating across related units including Surgical, Respiratory, Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, and Cardiac.

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirement

Clinical Scope

• Manages a patient load of up to 5 patients under RN oversight
• Telemetry monitoring is required; candidates will be tested on this competency on day one
• IV therapy skills required
• Floating between Med/Surg specialty units as needed

Requirements

• Active Ohio LPN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based experience
• IV certification required
• Demonstrated proficiency in electronic medical record documentation — no orientation or remediation for this skill will be provided, so current working knowledge must be confirmed prior to submission
• Telemetry reading competency (assessed on first day; inability to pass will result in termination)

Start Date: November 16th (this is the only available start date)
