Licensed Practical Nurse
LPN – Medical Surgical / Observation | Night Shift | Zanesville, OH
This 13-week contract is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Medical Surgical and Observation unit on night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), working 36 hours per week with every third weekend required. There is no on-call requirement.
Unit & Patient Population
The LPN will work primarily on a Medical Surgical/Observation unit and will float as needed across related units including Surgical, Respiratory, Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation. Clinicians are expected to independently manage a patient load of up to 5 patients under RN oversight.
Key Clinical Requirements
- Telemetry reading proficiency is required; candidates will be assessed via competency testing on the first day
- IV certification required
- Minimum 2 years of current, recent hospital experience required
Credentials & Licensure
- Active Ohio LPN license
- Current BLS certification
- IV certification
EMR Proficiency
Demonstrated electronic medical record proficiency is required prior to start. No refresher training or guided orientation to the system will be provided — candidates must be independently proficient and this must be documented at time of submission.
Scheduling Notes
- Start date: November 16th (only available start date)
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours over the course of the 13-week contract
