Licensed Practical Nurse

LPN – Medical Surgical / Observation | Zanesville, OH

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract | Start Date: November 16th

This LPN position is based primarily on a Medical Surgical/Observation unit, with occasional floating to other Med-Surg specialty units including Surgical, Respiratory, Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, and Cardiac.

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirement

Clinical Expectations

• Manage a patient load of up to 5 patients under RN oversight
• Telemetry reading is required; candidates will be tested on this competency on day one
• Float coverage across multiple Med-Surg specialty units as needed

Requirements

• Active Ohio LPN license
• Current BLS certification
• IV certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience
• Demonstrated EMR proficiency — must be fully independent; no refresher training is available
• Telemetry reading competency (assessed on first day)

Additional Details

• Start date is firm: November 16th
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours over the 13-week contract period
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time off requests added after confirmation will not be honored
