Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for night shift work. You'll provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit managing patients with cardiac monitoring needs and a range of medical and surgical diagnoses.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 23, 2026

Requirements

• Current, active BLS and ACLS certifications (in hand at time of submission)
• Permanent Ohio license or compact state license (in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director from work in the past 12 months (supervisor or manager references only — no peer references)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Background check clearance (no open cases)
• Drug screening required (10-panel + nicotine test within 12 months of start; updated annually)
• BCI/FBI background print completed within 48 hours of contract signing

What to Expect

You'll complete facility-required orientation modules (average 6–15 hours) pre-start. During orientation, you'll take an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment — both must be passed on the first or second attempt. Annual hands-on competency may be required if you extend beyond one year.

Extension Opportunity

Available to extend for up to 18 months with the facility.
