Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide care to step-down patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry support. This role offers the opportunity to float to related units to care for similar patient populations, expanding your clinical experience across the facility.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Shifts may rotate based on operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preference
- Mandatory holiday coverage: at least every other holiday
Requirements
- License: Permanent Ohio license or current Compact State license (in hand at time of submission)
- Experience: Minimum 12 months permanent experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Reference: One professional reference from a manager, clinical supervisor, ANM, or director within your specialty, from the past 12 months
Orientation & Competencies
During your first weeks, you'll complete:
- ECG rhythm recognition test
- SafeMedicate assessment
- Both require acceptable scores (maximum 2 attempts to pass)
- Pre-start and ongoing compliance modules
Additional Information
- Background check and state licensing verification required
- BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Drug screening required (within 12 months of start date)
