Cardiac Cath Lab Recovery & Observation Unit – RN
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for its cardiac catheterization lab recovery and observation unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced setting, managing post-procedure monitoring and supporting patients through their recovery phase.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Titrate cardiac drips and monitor hemodynamic stability
- Pull sheaths and assess puncture sites for complications
- Monitor vital signs and patient status post-catheterization
- Apply general medical/surgical nursing knowledge in a cardiac population
- Respond to patient needs in a recovery environment
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (state of assignment)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Experience with cardiac drip titration
- Familiarity with sheath removal and site monitoring
- Medical/surgical nursing background
Cancellation Policy
The facility may cancel up to 4 times during the 13-week contract (or 3 times if contract is 12 weeks or less). Cancellations may be full or partial shifts. The facility may elect to pay full hours in lieu of cancellation.
