Emergency Department RN — Los Angeles, CA
13-Week Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
A busy, community-centered Emergency Department in the Los Angeles area is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This unit serves a culturally diverse urban patient population with a broad spectrum of acuity, from routine urgent care presentations to high-acuity emergencies requiring rapid intervention.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week (36- or 48-hour week options available)
- Holiday RTO will not be approved
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license (state of practice)
- BLS (approved vendor)
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience & Education
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
- BSN preferred
- Electronic health record proficiency required
Clinical Scope
Nurses in this role will assess, diagnose, plan, and implement individualized care plans, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in discharge planning. Strong critical thinking and independent clinical judgment are essential in this fast-paced environment serving a diverse, Spanish-speaking community.
