Emergency Department RN — Los Angeles, CA

This 13-week contract places you in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving a culturally diverse urban patient population in the Boyle Heights community of Los Angeles. The unit demands strong acute care clinical skills, sound independent judgment, and the ability to coordinate care across a multidisciplinary team.

Shift Details

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 or 48 hours per week (guaranteed 36 hours)
• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Holiday RTO will not be approved

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license (state of practice)
• BLS (from approved vendor)
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Preferred

• BSN
• Acute care facility experience

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department or acute care RN experience

Clinical Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and implement individualized patient care plans
• Supervise and delegate to nursing team members
• Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on health information and treatment plans
• Maintain a safe, patient-centered care environment
