Medical-Surgical Nurse | Travel Contract | Lawton, OK

This travel nursing opportunity places you in a general medical-surgical unit providing direct patient care across a broad range of diagnoses and acuity levels. The unit emphasizes collaborative, patient-centered care with a consistent team structure.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (days)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 22, 2026

Schedule Expectations

• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period
• Fair share of holiday coverage expected
• Float to other med-surg units within the facility as needed

Clinical Scope

• General medical-surgical patient population with a variety of diagnoses and recovery needs
• Consistent day-shift schedule supporting structured care delivery and interdisciplinary collaboration

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or compact state license)
• Current BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required
• Prior med-surg experience preferred; travel experience a plus
• Ability to float to comparable units within the facility

This is a solid long-term contract for a flexible, experienced med-surg nurse comfortable managing a standard patient load and contributing to a well-rounded unit team.
