Night Shift RN – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for night shift coverage in a busy emergency department. You'll deliver coordinated care to diverse patient populations, supervise assigned nursing staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective treatment.
Clinical Scope
As an RN in this role, you will:
- Assess and analyze patient data to determine diagnoses and care priorities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans using critical thinking and professional judgment
- Coordinate care delivery across the care team while promoting a safe, healing environment
- Educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning
- Delegate and supervise various levels of nursing staff
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Electronic health record experience required
