Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Los Angeles, CA

A busy Emergency Department in the Los Angeles area is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract. This is a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), with guaranteed 36 hours per week and the option for 48-hour schedules.

Unit & Clinical Scope

The ED manages a high-volume, diverse patient population with a broad range of acuity levels. Nurses are expected to exercise independent clinical judgment, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and respond effectively to time-sensitive emergencies including neurological and cardiovascular events.

Shift & Scheduling

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (36 or 48 hours/week)
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Holiday RTO will not be approved

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license (California or compact, per state requirements)
• BLS (from an approved vendor)
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIH Stroke Scale certification

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience, with ED background strongly preferred
• BSN preferred
• Electronic health record proficiency required
