Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU/ICU Stepdown)

Englewood, CO | Nights: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM | 13-Week Contract

This fast-paced, high-acuity PCU operates as an ICU stepdown unit with a strong cardiac focus. The unit manages complex patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions, making it an excellent fit for experienced PCU nurses who thrive in a challenging, team-driven environment.

Clinical Scope

• Cardiac and neurological patient populations with high acuity
• Procedures include chest tube placement and removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs
• Vasoactive and cardiac drips: heparin, Tikosyn, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, Lasix, and ketamine
• Equipment in use: telemetry, transport monitors, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high-flow oxygen, chest tubes, tracheostomies, feeding pumps, IV pumps, foley catheters, pacer wires, and SCD pumps

Schedule & Staffing

• Night shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Collaborative team of RNs and PCTs with consistent charge RN coverage each shift

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current PCU experience (required)
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (required)
• Neuro and/or cardiac experience strongly preferred
