Travel RN – Neuro ICU
Location: Englewood, CO
Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
About the Unit
You'll join a collaborative neuro ICU caring for high-acuity neurological patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention. The unit manages post-operative neuro patients, stroke cases, and complex neurological conditions. Patient ratios are 1 RN : 2 patients.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment
- Manage patients on ventilators and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Assist with or perform intubations, central line placements, and EVD/lumbar drain management
- Monitor continuous EEG and utilize advanced neuro-specific equipment (Licox monitoring, Arctic Sun)
- Collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary team
Requirements
Must Have:
- Minimum 1 year current ICU experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred:
- Experience with neuro patient populations
- NIHSS certification or willingness to obtain
