Cardiac Sonographer – Echo/Cardiac Ultrasound | Parkersburg, WV

Contract: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 2, 2026

Shift: 4×10 Days, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (start time may vary slightly based on first scheduled study)

Schedule: Coverage every 3rd Saturday; call every 3rd day

Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

About the Role

This position is embedded within a dedicated Echo/Cardiac Sonography department serving both adult and pediatric patients. You will perform standard transthoracic echocardiograms and TEEs, with no float requirement — scope is focused exclusively on echo studies. Expect 15–20 studies per day across two scanning rooms and a holding area.

The unit is co-located with the Cath Lab and Stress Testing areas. For stress echo procedures, you'll collaborate directly with an RN who handles IV placement, allowing you to focus on imaging.

Required Credentials

• BLS (AHA)
• RDCS-AE (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – Adult Echo) via ARDMS

Preferred Credentials

• RDCS-PE (Pediatric Echo) — pediatric experience is a strong plus
• RCS via CCI

Experience

• Both adult and pediatric echo experience required
• Proficiency with TEEs required

Additional Details

• Scrubs provided by the facility
• BSN not required
• Valid state license required at time of submission
