Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Simi Valley, CA
This 18-week contract places you in a fast-paced Emergency Department in Southern California's Ventura County, with a start date of October 26, 2026.
Shift Details
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Night Shift
- 36–48 hours per week guaranteed
- Holiday RTO will not be approved
Clinical Scope
You'll deliver coordinated nursing care across the full spectrum of emergency presentations, including patients requiring stroke assessment and management. Responsibilities include patient assessment and diagnosis formulation, care plan development and implementation, multidisciplinary collaboration, patient and family education, and discharge planning. The role requires critical thinking, independent judgment, and supervision of supporting nursing staff.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN licensure in California
- BLS (AHA-approved)
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM/TEAM-A) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
Required Experience & Education
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- BSN preferred
- Proficiency in electronic health records required
