Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Shift & Contract Details
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (night shift)
- Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 18 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
About the Role
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to deliver coordinated care to acutely ill and injured patients. You will supervise and direct nursing staff activities, collaborate across disciplines, and apply critical thinking to guide clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients, analyze clinical data, and develop individualized care plans
- Implement interventions to achieve positive patient outcomes
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to nursing team members
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide patient and family education
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Manage crisis situations using de-escalation techniques
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification
- Current EMR experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
