PACU Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Shift & Contract Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor patients closely during the immediate post-anesthesia period and identify complications early.
- Manage pain and nausea effectively.
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
- Record and communicate patient condition to the care team.
- Coordinate discharge planning with multidisciplinary team members.
- Follow physician and nursing orders with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Experience in PACU, ICU, critical care, ED, or perioperative nursing preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous PACU or critical-care experience.
- CPAN or CAPA certification.
- PALS certification (for pediatric settings).
- Experience with airway management and hemodynamic monitoring.
