Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shift: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, providing care to patients on telemetry monitoring across the medical/surgical unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with telemetry equipment
• Perform patient assessments, care planning, and medication administration
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
• Respond to patient needs and support safe, quality care delivery

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience
• Active, unencumbered RN license: Ohio or Compact state (must be in hand at submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (active at time of submission)
• One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the past 12 months (no peer references)
• Willingness to complete required onboarding modules and competency assessments
• Background check clearance (no open cases; no license hits)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Contract Details

• 13-week assignment
• Extensions available up to 18 months with facility approval
• Must allow 6-month break between extended contracts (may be waived by facility)

Note

ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments will be completed during orientation. You'll have two attempts to achieve a passing score.
