Cardiac Telemetry RN – Night Shift
The Opportunity
The facility's cardiac and stroke unit is seeking an experienced RN for night shifts (18:45–07:15). This is a fast-paced telemetry unit managing high-acuity cardiac and stroke patients with high patient turnover—expect to care for 78–90 patients weekly across your assignment.
What You'll Do
You'll provide direct care to stable post-procedure cardiac patients (pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, cardiac catheterization), post-stroke patients (CVA, TIA), and patients with dysrhythmias, unstable angina, and heart failure. Your responsibilities include:
- IV starts and telemetry monitoring
- Titration of cardiac drips (Cardizem, Dopamine, Amiodarone)
- Management of temporary pacing, TR bands, and post-interventional care
- Non-invasive airway support and oxygen administration
- Care for COVID-positive patients on high-flow oxygen and BIPAP (chronic use only)
A team lead assists with admissions and discharges to support workflow.
