Med/Surg Tele RN – 13-Week Travel Assignment

Position Overview

Join the facility's medical-surgical telemetry unit as a registered nurse. You'll provide direct patient care on a busy unit managing patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, post-operative recovery, and acute medical conditions.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts
• Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Shifts may rotate based on operational needs
• Must work at least every other holiday

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients on telemetry
• Administer medications and treatments per facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Potential to float to other units caring for similar patient populations
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation (passing score required)

Requirements

• 12 months permanent experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
• Current, active RN license (Ohio or Compact State)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (current and in hand)
• One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director (from past 12 months)
• Clear background check; no open cases or license issues
• Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start
• BCI/FBI prints completed within 48 hours of contract signing

Contract Details

• 13-week assignment
• Start: November 13, 2026
• Extension opportunity up to 18 months (6-month break required thereafter, may be deferred by facility approval)
