Physical Therapist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Physical Therapist to lead and direct physical therapy services. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, on a 9-week contract beginning January 4, 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise departmental operations and ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Conduct patient assessments across all age groups (pediatric, geriatric, and general populations)
- Manage pain and functional limitations through appropriate clinical intervention
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and performance improvement activities
- Oversee departmental budget, charge reviews, and billing accuracy
- Train and mentor departmental and nursing staff
- Maintain equipment safety, department cleanliness, and infection control standards
- Document care according to current standards and policies
Required Qualifications
- Current California licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist
- Minimum 3 years of physical therapy experience preferred
- Current BCLS certification
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under stress and respond calmly during emergencies
- Team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
