Telemetry RN – Southern California

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract | Simi Valley, CA

This telemetry unit provides coordinated, patient-centered nursing care across a range of cardiac and medical-surgical acuities. The RN works alongside a multidisciplinary team, supervising and directing assigned nursing staff while utilizing clinical judgment and critical thinking throughout the care continuum.

Shift Details

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Holiday RTO will not be approved

Clinical Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to guide diagnosis and care planning
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans with measurable outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the broader care team in a safe, healing environment
• Provide patient and family education to support health and well-being
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegate tasks appropriately within the healthcare team

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license (California or applicable compact)
• BLS (from an approved vendor)
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• BSN preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health records is required
