Position: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), every other weekend
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- 42-week contract
Unit Overview
You'll work in a cardiac progressive care setting focused on drip titration and post-procedural monitoring. The unit manages patients recovering from catheterization procedures, requiring close hemodynamic assessment and medication management. You'll care for general medical and surgical patients alongside cardiac cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Titrate cardiac medications and monitor hemodynamic response
- Manage post-cath lab patients: pull sheaths, assess puncture sites, and prevent complications
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Float to medical/telemetry and ED hold areas as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state-specific)
- ACLS and BLS certification
- Proven experience with cardiac drip titration
- Cath lab recovery/observation experience
- Solid foundation in medical/surgical nursing
Contract Details
- 42 weeks
- Cancellation policy: The facility may cancel up to 4 times per 13-week period (3 times if contract is 12 weeks or less). Cancellations may be full or partial shifts; the facility may alternatively pay full hours in lieu of cancellation.
