Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You will deliver coordinated nursing care to a patient population requiring cardiac monitoring and surveillance. This is a day shift position running 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, available as a 36 or 48-hour weekly commitment over a 13-week contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care based on established nursing standards and the nursing process
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, safe care
- Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate progress
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health and discharge requirements
- Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
- Delegate and coordinate team duties effectively
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum two years of recent acute care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification
- Proficiency with electronic health records
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior telemetry or cardiac unit experience
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start: October 26, 2026
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Day shift, no holiday rotation time off
